Our Objective

    AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
  • 1. The aim of Discover Gem Academy is to transform its students in to integrated human beings, whose intellectual emotional moral and physical well-being will enable them to face the challenges of tomorrow, all the while being firm rooted in one's culture, faith in almighty and love of neighbor as exemplified in the life and teachings of the almighty.
  • 2. strives to promote patriotism, spirit of national integration, pride in our culture, heritage and scientific outlook, fellowship, team spirit, service to the community.

  • EVALUATION AND PROMOTION
  • 3. For the purpose of evaluation, the school conducts regular tests. These tests are taken into account for two terms and promotion exams.
  • 4. All subjects will be marked in grades. It will enable the pupils to work at their own level of ability and complete with own self.
  • 5. Promotion of the end of the year depends on the all round development of a child, his/her steady progress through-out the year and his/her ability to cope with a higher class.
  • 6. The final decision regarding promotion rests with the principal.
  • 7. 85% of attendance is a must for promotion to the next higher class.

  • LEAVE ABSESCE
  • 8. Should give proper information or reason for being absent it should be mentioned of the absent page of the diary with a proper signature of the parent.
  • 9. Medical certificate is to be furnish if a child is absent for more than fifteen days on medical ground.
  • 10. Pupils must not absent themselves for school on the day prior to holiday or test/exams.
  • 11. Pupil should have minimum of 85% attendance to be eligible for appearing in the final examination.
  • 12. Children suffering from contagious or infectious diseases shall not be permitted to attend the school.
  • 13. In this case they should get themselves properly cured and come back to school.

  • GENERAL RULES OF DISCIPLINE
  • 14. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness disobedience, disrespect towards the members of the staff, unruly behavior or conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school are sufficient reasons for dismissal of a student at any time of the year.
  • 15. While utmost precaution is taken the school cannot be held responsible for accidents minor or serious to pupils during the stay in the school while taking part in sports or co-curricular activities with it or outside the school premises.
  • 16. Guardians / parents are requested to make proper arrangement to collect the children immediately after the school hours.
  • 17. The school diary is a record concerning the students. Therefore, bring the school diary daily to school,
  • 18. Any damage done to school property must be made good by the pupils.
  • 19. English should be spoken in the school premises at all time in order to acquire fluency in speaking the language.
  • 20. Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their book and belongings. Each article should be marked with pupils' name.
  • 21. Some of the activities and competitions that are organized in the school are sports and Games, Drama, Debates, Concerts, Calligraphy and Exhibitions. The student will have to take part in these activities.
  • 22. Enrolment in the school implies, on the part of the parents and students, willingness to comply with the requirements and regulation of the school.
  • 23. Parents are requested to notify the school authority whenever there is a change in there is a change in their address or telephone numbers as recorded in students personal record.
  • 24. Parent/guardians are not allowed to see their words or interviews teachers, during school hours.
  • 25. The result of the terminal evaluation will be given only to the parents/guardians, and that too only on the specified dates.
  • 26. Parents retain their right and duties in the education of the children, even though they delegate a part of it to the school. The support can collaboration of parents/ guardians in all class is considered valuable to the success of the work of education carried out by the school.
  • 27. parents/guardians are requested to co-operate with the school authorities

  • By paying the school fees at proper time.
  • By seeing that their wards are diligent in doing their home work and lessons.
  • By insisting on neatness and cleanliness in their work and personal appearance.
  • By regularly looking through the regularity record and others section of the calendar.
  • By promptly countersigning the report card, copies and school diary.
  • By meeting occasionally with the principal and the teacher's to know about their wards.
  • Plan your holidays and tours as per your child holidays.
  • Parents / guardians are requested to affix their specimen signature/ initial in the space indicated in the school diary. No other signature will be accepted in the regularity records, reports card, test books etc.
